Who holds my assets?

A qualified custodian, through TANO's custody adapter. TANO never asks for private keys or seed phrases, and client balances are tracked individually in a double-entry ledger reconciled against custodian records.

Do I connect my own exchange API keys?

No. TANO is custodial. Trading is executed by the platform's own infrastructure against institutional venue accounts, not by connecting your personal exchange keys.

What can the trading bots actually do?

Each strategy publishes a mandate: the instruments it trades, its sizing logic, capacity ceiling, expected horizon and maximum drawdown policy. Bots cannot move assets off the platform; they can only place orders within their mandate.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Digital assets are volatile and automated strategies can lose capital, including in ways historical simulation did not anticipate. Read the risk disclosure before allocating.

How are fees charged?

A management fee accrues daily on allocated capital and is charged monthly in arrears. A performance fee applies only to gains above your account's previous equity peak. Trading costs are passed through at cost and itemised per fill.

Redeem an allocation to cash first — notice periods vary by strategy. Cash withdrawals then go through review and approval to an allow-listed destination, typically settling the same business day in a live deployment.

No. It explains your own account data — exposure, drawdowns, fills, fees — in plain language. It cannot trade, and it does not make recommendations or price predictions.

The current build operates in sandbox mode with simulated custody, execution and market data. No client funds are held. The architecture is designed so production providers can be connected without changing the interface.

Heartbeat monitoring pauses new orders on a missed signal, drawdown breaches de-risk automatically, and operators can kill a bot, a strategy family or all execution instantly.

Can I see everything that happened to my money?

Yes. Every deposit, allocation, fill, fee, accrual, redemption and withdrawal is an entry in your activity log, and all reported figures are recomputed from those entries.
